Principal Responsibilities

Analyzing and interpreting economic developments and key trends in various financial markets and products
Conducting bespoke research and analysis, as well as participating in and creating of presentations, conferences, seminars
Representing Bank to provide views and interact with internal / external clients
Making intelligent forecasts major economic variables of the Hong Kong, mainland China and global economies
Promoting the public image of Bank and upkeep the bank image in professional research community
Leading, developing and motivating the leadership team to attract, retain and develop the capacity, capability and talent to provide for succession and ensure delivery of business objectives
Setting expectations, share best practice and manage, monitor, coach and develop leaders and others to ensure that they maximise their performance, meet the required standards, and continuously develop their capabilities and experience
Establishing and maintaining a robust and efficient control environment to ensure good operational, financial and project management and compliance


Requirements

University graduate majoring in Economics / Economic Research
Good knowledge of global economic developments, financial markets and Global Markets products
Good in managing communications, preferably with an ability to explain economic ideas and implications in plain language
Attention to details, an ability to generate and discuss economic thought and a proactive approach to work
Resilient, capable to work effectively and responsibly in a dynamic environment
Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
