Principal responsibilities
• Gain a deep understanding of where the business can grow across different client segments -including investment banks, asset management companies, asset owners, and information vendors in Greater China region - then formulate, design and execute business strategies. Guide the team to expand the adoption of indexes and identify new opportunities across various business lines.
• Lead the client coverage team to deepen client relationships, maintain awareness of HSIL index developments, and effectively communicate our value proposition to clients to drive revenue growth by upselling and cross-selling of index solutions
• Collaborate with Product Department to develop and present index proposals, drive negotiations to secure deals and finalize agreements
• Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor movements to identify new opportunities, develop client expansion strategies, and acquire new business relationships
• Monitor business performance by closely tracking target deliverables on a regular basis, and adjust strategies dynamically in response to market changes
• Develop comprehensive insights into clients’ needs, challenges, and use cases to deliver customized solutions that enhance relationship management and create shared value
Qualifications
Requirements
• University degree with proven experience in in banking and financial industry, with a focus on institutional accounts or B2B sales
• Proven track-record in achieving and exceeding business targets, demonstrating effectiveness in driving revenue growth
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua)
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation skills with experience in working with executive level
• Strong sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
• Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
